Pierre-Avoi

Sport, Pedestrian sports, Trail route in Verbier

Very difficult
  • The course presents a beautiful first climb of about 1'000 meters of difference in altitude, then alternates the declivity on false flats to boost you to Verbier.

  • Once you reach the Chute du Bisse, a steep climb takes you into the forest which opens onto pastures. You will then have to be on your toes to follow the ridge, because your eyes will be taken over by the landscape: on one side Verbier and on the other Sembrancher.

As you continue, if you are early enough, you will be able to admire groups of chamois. A few dozen metres of rocky terrain brings you to the foot of this original rock which changes according to the viewpoint: La Pierre Avoi....

The route then becomes more rolling, with the passage of the Col de la Marlène, a short descent to the Croix de Cœur, without leaving the corner of your eye on Verbier which struts on its sunny plateau. If you are in a hurry, you can speed up the pace on the road leading to the Col des Mines, before starting the descent on the bisse du Levron, which you will follow until the Marlénaz restaurant, before reaching Verbier.
